Victoria Police Legacy Scheme Incorporated Advice to Members – Notice of Annual General Meeting

Call for Nominations - BOARD MEMBER (x 3) - DIRECTOR
The Annual General Meeting of Victoria Police Legacy Scheme Incorporated will be conducted on Tuesday the 19th October 2021 commencing at 3 p.m. at the ‘S.I. (Mick) Miller Victoria Police Legacy Building’, Louisa Terrace, 71 Drummond Street, Carlton South.
The business of the meeting will be: -

  • Confirmation of Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on the 20th October 2020.
  • To receive and consider the financial statements of the Association’s accounts. To receive and consider the report of the audited financial statements and the auditor’s report.
  • To receive and consider the Board Report on the principal activities of the Association for the previous 12 months.
  • The appointment of the Auditor.
  • Conduct any other business of which notice has been given to members.

Call for Nominations - BOARD MEMBERS (x 3) - DIRECTORS
3 positions for a 2-year period – 19th October 2021 to 17th October 2023.


In accordance with (Rule 19) DIRECTORS – PROCEDURE FOR ELECTION OF…CONSTITUTION (Victoria Police Legacy Scheme Incorporated), nominations are now open to members to fill three (3) Director positions which will become vacant through the expiry of the current two-year term of the incumbents. A Nomination Form and further details can be located at website www.policelegacyvic.org.au in the ‘ABOUT US’ section – ‘Governance’.
To be nominated as a Director you need to be a Member and have served a minimum period of 3 months as an Ambassador of Victoria Police Legacy Scheme (or Board Member)(ref: - VPL Constitution 16.2.3(a)).

A Nomination Form must be submitted to the Secretary by c.o.b. on the prescribed date, being Friday 17th September 2021.

In accordance with (Rule 19) DIRECTORS – PROCEDURE FOR ELECTION OF…CONSTITUION (Victoria Police Legacy Scheme Incorporated), if the number of nominations received exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, a ballot of members shall be held. If the number of nominations received is equal to the vacancies to be filled, the person nominated shall be deemed to be elected.

NOTE# In the event that attendance in person at the Annual General Meeting is unable to occur due to COVID-19 compliance requirements which may be in place at that time, invitations will be made available for members to attend via Microsoft Teams.
